EDITOR. TEACHER. CO-CONSPIRATOR.

Writer's Guide ---> Ghostwriter!
We all have a story to tell. Sometimes we need support forming that story into a creation, be it an essay or a full manuscript. That's where I come in!

I am a college English instructor, editor of several published anthologies, and author of my own novel, which features a historically accurate character. I was the Book Production Manager and an Editor for Alyson Books, have freelanced as an editor with writing agencies and on my own, am the publisher of Gertrude Press, and have been invited to speak on the industry at half a dozen conferences.

Over the years, I've supported dozens of writers getting their work ready to send out / get published. One of my most rewarding creative endeavors is guiding people to telling their own story. You might:
  • ...want to write your story and would like guidance on structure, editorial feedback, and / or accountability (mini-MFA style)
  • ...want to process and develop your story with an experienced co-writer from outlining to final manuscript
  • ...want a full ghostwriter (script or book!) to give your story life

I am here.

Rates
Packages are personalized. To give you a rough idea, we can do:
  • One-on-one coaching: A bi-weekly Zoom meeting up to one hour, including a review of ten pages of your work with line edits (chapters, outlines, back copy, whatever you need!) at $500/month
  • A full ghostwrite, resulting in an 80,000-word manuscript in pitch ready condition developed from nebulous story to outline to final over a 6-month period, meeting weekly and trading a specified number of pages per month at $4,000/month
  • A feature script ghostwrite will depend on the complexity of the story and research needed, although typically takes half the time and investment

I look forward to hearing from you!

Over the past 25 years I've also worked with publishing companies and individuals to get manuscripts ready for press / pitching. Here are the courses and editing options available to support you on your path, wherever you are   OPENING BACK UP SOON (email me to be on the list):

Critique!
An eight-week, critique-based, Virtual Workshop $249 (was $299!)
Come with a short story or that critical first section of your novel (up to 25 pages) and we will work together to get it into shape. Since critiquing other people’s work can be just as informative to your development as getting feedback on your own, we will dive deep when we meet on-line for two hours a week. Limited participants. Join the next 8 weeks for $249.

Ready, Set, Pitch!
A three-week, Virtual Workshop for fiction $199
This four-week course focuses on getting your shit out there and into the hands who need it. We will tighten your synopsis, logline, elevator pitch (with practice in our live meetings), and query letter, while talking about agents and presses (big houses and indies).
